A new regular feature from us here at SPOV where we pick the top five ‘things’ we are listening, watching, going to (not at the moment!), playing or just anything we are interested in and we think you will be too. So in no particular order:

1. LITTLE NIGHTMARES II

Official Description: Return to a world of charming horror in Little Nightmares II, a suspense adventure game in which you play as Mono, a young boy trapped in a world that has been distorted by the humming transmission of a distant tower. With Six, the girl in the yellow raincoat, as his guide, Mono sets out to discover the dark secrets of The Signal Tower. Their journey won't be easy; Mono and Six will face a host of new threats from the terrible residents of this world.
Jasmine: As a big fan of the first instalment, I was anxious to play Little Nightmares II. Anxious being the operative word because I’m a wimp and this series scares the life out of me! Utterly stunning level & sound design, world building and characters that will prevent you from a good night’s sleep, Little Nightmares II was worth the wait. A fantastic continuation of the original story but with enough twists and turns to keep you on your toes. This game has officially made it on to the list of games that make me scream out loud. Other titles include Last of Us, Call of Duty World at War – Nacht Der Untoten and games of Civilisation where Gandhi is an AI player.
Platform playing on: Playstation 4

2. HOLLOW KNIGHT

Official Description: Forge your own path in Hollow Knight! An epic action adventure through a vast ruined kingdom of insects and heroes. Explore twisting caverns, battle tainted creatures and befriend bizarre bugs, all in a classic, hand-drawn 2D style.
Sam: It's very beautiful with lots of nice details, the lore is extensive and well written, it's fun to play but also horrendously frustrating. I am still playing after such a long time because I can only play it for up to an hour at a time before I want to throw myself out of a window. But I keep coming back!
Platform playing on: Playstation 4

3. SUPER MARIO 3D ALLSTARS

Official Description: Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a 2020 compilation of 3D platform games for the Nintendo Switch. It commemorates the 35th anniversary of Nintendo's Super Mario franchise, with high-definition ports of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy.
Alexey: It’s Mario 64. On the switch. What else could you want?
Platform playing on: Nintendo Switch

4. DISHONORED: DEFINITIVE EDITION

Official Description: Dishonored is a 2012 action-adventure game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Set in the fictional, plague-ridden industrial city of Dunwall, Dishonored follows the story of Corvo Attano, bodyguard to the Empress of the Isles.
Simon: Absorbing game that gives you multiple options of how to play it, non-lethal and stealthy, lethal and chaotic or somewhere in-between. Having enjoyed BioShock this follows on nicely in the way that you feel you have a lot of choice and options in problem solving your way through it. Only ruined by my lack of: a. Patience. b. Bonecharm and Rune knowledge. c. Speed of left hand item selecting ability. d. Disregard for reading copious books that are left laying around to give you knowledge of the backstory. e. Pedestrian gaming ability.
Platform playing on: Playstation 4

5. UNRAILED

Official Description: Unrailed! is a chaotic online and couch co-op multiplayer railroad construction game where you work together with your friends as a team to build a train track across endless procedurally generated worlds. Master encounters with its inhabitants, upgrade your train and keep it from derailing!
Agnes: Fun and chaotic and elegantly simple brings lots of joy, especially in multiplayer mode. Give it a try!
Platform playing on: PC
